FAQ for cell phone jammers
| Q. What effective jamming range can I expect |
| A. Range is probably the most frequently asked question. There is no real answer to this question. The maximum range which has been specified is the absolute maximum range that could be achieved in ideal conditions. The range will vary and can vary considerably depending on certain conditions such as: what is between the jammer and cell phone, the signal strength in the area where the cell phone is located as well as other factors. For instance, metal objects will reduce the range so if you are using the jammer inside a vehicle to block a cell phone being used outside the vehicle or vice versa, the metal construction of the vehicle will reduce the effective range. |
| Basically, there are cell points around the country which communicate with the cell phone. If you are in a very poor area not too close to the nearest cell site to you, the signal indicator on your phone will be reduced and if a jammer was to be used in this area, up to maximum range would be achieved although obstacles would also be a consideration. If on the other hand you were close to a cell site and you would probably not know as they are usually hidden or out of site, then you could expect a dramatic reduction in effective range. |
| There are several factors that will effect
range but signal strength of the nearest cell site is the most serious
in determining what range you actually get.

| Q. Are cell phone jammers a health risk |
| A. Portable
jammers can be used without fear of any type of health risk as the power
output is generally similar to an ordinary cell phone. Non portable
devices greater than 12 watts are considered safe for use as they are
not portable and are not touching the person using these devices.
|
| Q. Do cell phone jammers interfere with other equipment |
| A. No. The
frequency and type of transmission that a cell phone jammer emits is
designed purely to interfere with exactly the same frequency used by
cellular telephones.
|
| Q. What do I do if my jammer becomes faulty |
| A. Simply use the
contact
form and give details of the jammer and fault. We will either give you
advice on how to correct the problem or a return address to return the
jammer for repair\replacement. Faulty jammers are returned the same day
we receive them.
|
| Q. Can I exchange the jammer for another model |
| A. Yes. If you decide that the jammer you have purchased is not suitable, simply let us know and it will be possible for you to return the jammer for another model providing that the jammer and any accessories you want to return is as new condition. |
